Felicity and Kendall Waits – twin girls who like to craft and create in their spare time. In their junior year of high school, their younger brother J.J. had a medical emergency and the girls decided to help raise money to pay off the medical bills. They started to make homemade soap with scents that reminded them of the outdoors—lavender, pine, clover, rosemary, jasmine, etc.—that would encourage their brother to wash his hands. Since they were inspired by nature and also dedicated to making their products “green”, they called their company Green Nature Life. As their business became popular at school and around the neighborhood, the twins created candles, bath mixes, and body scrubs.
Now having expanded their business, a percentage of money from the sale of their soap goes to creating helping save lives. Globally, an estimated 2,000 children under the age of five die every day from diarrhoeal diseases and of these some 1,800 deaths are linked to water, sanitation and hygiene. By promoting safe and eco-friendly cleaning products, Felicity and Kendall hope to foster good hygiene in customers young and old—and make it a fun and creative experience.
